American Pit Bull Terrier[]

American Pit Bull Terrier

Also known as 'APBTs', 'Pitbulls', 'Pitties', 'Pits' and 'Pibbles', these dogs are the newest breed on Alacrity and the third for which Carnivale produced the main artwork. Despite myths of ferocity and aggression, properly raised and socialized Pitbulls are friendly, loyal dogs well known for their great personalities. Wildly popular as pets, especially in times past (for example, the childrens' dog in The Little Rascals series was a Pit Bull Terrier), these dogs have a wide variety of markings and colors on Alacrity as in real life, as well as the option to crop their ears. Australian Shepherd[]

Also known as 'Aussies', these fluffy sheepdogs are notable in that they were the first breed on Alacrity whose tails could be docked, and also in that they are the only breed whose art displays a profile view, with only one eye visible. Border Collie[]

Also known as just 'Collies' or 'Borders', these herding dogs are far and away the most popular breed on Alacrity, dominating all other breeds in top Training Potential and have been the most populous breed for some time now. To learn more about Border Collies, read the Border Collie article.


Borzoi[]

Borzoi


Also known to some as 'Zois, these tall and speedy wolfhounds are Alacrity's third newest breed, and the first to have their breed art produced by Carnivale . These dogs have the tallest breed art on the site, taking up the most room on the background and providing a large canvas for their varied markings (and for adding accessories to!). German Shepherd[]

Frequently referred to as 'GSDs' (German Shepherd Dogs), these 'police dogs' with their background in herding just received their puppy art and are one of the best breeds for bright-colored, static-free glitching . To learn more about GSDs, read the German Shepherd article.


Jack Russell Terrier[]

Generally simply called 'JRTs' on Alacrity, these little terriers were included in the small breeds markings additions and as such boast a wide array of colors and markings options! Also known as 'Paps', this breed actually includes the official breeds of Papillon and Phalene - in layman's terms, these cuties can come with firm ears or floppy depending on genetics. Pembroke Welsh Corgi[]

Usually referred to as just 'Corgis', or sometimes 'Pemmies' or 'PWCs', this breed with the constant grin was included in the small breed markings additions and boast a wide array of stunning good looks. Corgis are the most popular of the small breeds on Alacrity, and are also notable as the only breed on Alacrity that is laying down in its breed art! Siberian Husky[]

Also known as 'Sibes' or simply 'Huskies', this sled dog breed is the second newest on the site and also the second breed to have their artwork drawn by Carnivale. Available in many colors and markings, including merle (a rare marking on real-world Huskies), these dogs come with curly tails or straight depending on genetics.
